June 2007 - Olema RV Park

We spent four nights at the Olema RV Resort and Campground (Marin County). This RV park recently changed owners and is in the process of upgrading. However, permits are delayed since endangered frog and trout species have been found. Looks like they will close after Labor Day and hopefully be able to complete the upgrades. We like this spot because of the location - in the Point Reyes National Seashore. Having creature comforts help as well.

The Campsite

Ali and Ross were able to join us for an overnight visit. We hiked on the Tomales Head Trail which is documented on our Trail Tales blog. Then we enjoyed the afternoon around camp.

Picnic at the Marin French Cheese Factory

We remember when this used to be call the Petaluma Marin Cheese Factory. A favorite picnic spot of ours. In March, we had a picnic here with Ron and Robbie and we discovered the yummy Schloss cheese. So we had to get it again to make sure it was really that good - it is. Check out our favorite links for the website.
