Took a 10 day trip through Nevada to Utah.
First day we headed to Hawthorne, NV home of the Hawthorne Army Depot.
We stayed at the Whiskey Flats RV Park
Second day we traveled to Alamo, NV.
Got to love the rest stops along this route.
Joshua trees - lots of them!
A stop at the Alien Research Center gift shop.
Something tells me that is Area 51 over there.
Kanab, UT
Arrived in Kanab, UT. Stayed at the Grand Plateau RV Resort. Stayed here for 3 nights.
Not a bad view from our trailer.
Bryce Canyon
A beautiful day at Bryce Canyon National Park. Photos don't do it justice. It is as much the feeling you get as the visual feast. We no longer are able to hike and wish we had done this years ago. Lots of trails to enjoy.
Dogs are allowed on the paved areas.
Zion National Park
We were able to visit Zion National Park on our way back to Kanab. Another breathless park. We drove through here several years ago and enjoyed it just as much the second time.
These pictures were all taken while driving through the park. I'm surprised they turned out so well.
Waiting for a motor home to be escorted through the tunnel.
Glen Canyon Dam
Our original plan was to visit the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. However, it doesn't open for the season for 5 more days. We took a drive to see the Glen Canyon Dam on the Colorado River.Moab, UT
Next stop Archview RV Resort north of Arches National Park and Moab, UT for a 3 night stay. We were here about 20 years ago and Moab has really grown. Lots of big name hotels and more businesses. They are expanding the road to 4 lanes. The traffic is extreme. It takes over an hour to go 20 miles. Not the the Moab we fell in love with.
View from the trailer bedroom.
Arches National Park
We arrived at the park a little before 9:00 and there were long double lines to get in already. This is in May on a weekday.
